Windsor Place Announcements
Watch for updates

Hello

7.7.25 - Windsor Message - Hello Windsor Place owners – The Board of Directors is requesting your assistance in preparing for an upcoming Association project. It is time to start preparing to paint the buildings in the community.
In order to give a full and accurate scope of work to paint vendors, we need to know how to advise on paint color. To change building paint colors requires additional steps and so before the Board moves forward with the project, we need the answer to a crucial question: would you be in favor of changing the trim colors of the Windsor buildings? (The core color would remain white.)
This is an informal survey, which you will receive via email and / or snail mail, to guide the Board in its next steps. If the replies do not support a trim color change, then the Board will simply pursue bids maintaining the current trim color scheme. If the replies show broad support for a potential trim color change, then we will explore options for alternative colors and a formal vote for material alteration (including selection of specific colors) will commence.
We greatly appreciate the time you are taking to complete the form so we can gauge the community’s opinion.
7.3.25 - Windsor Message - Hello Windsor owners - The Alliant offices are closed starting at 12:00pm on Thursday 7/3 in observance of the July 4th holiday. Offices will reopen at 9:00am on Monday 7/7. If you have a common element emergency or you have an immediate need, please call 239-454-1101 to be connected to the manager on-call.
7.3.25 - City of Naples FL - Government  Message - Important Update - 4th of July Parade Cancelled - Out of an abundance of caution due to forecasted thunderstorms, the City of Naples has canceled the 4th of July Parade scheduled for tomorrow morning. While we know this is disappointing, the safety of our community, participants, and staff is our top priority.
The fireworks show is still scheduled for 9:00 PM. Please note if lightning is in the area, the show may be temporally delayed until conditions improve. This would be a short-term delay, not a postponement to another day.
We encourage everyone to use discretion, if inclement weather develops and to seek shelter if thunderstorms approach.
Thank you for your understanding, and we wish everyone a safe and happy Independence Day!

6.26.25 - BLMA Message - "JOIN US FOR PICKLEBALL" - Hi Folks - Please come out and join us every Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 6pm at the tennis/pickleball courts!  All levels welcome!  Meet your neighbors and have some fun!
6.25.25 - Windsor Message - Hello Windsor owners - This is a reminder that the quarterly fees are due on July 1. You have a 5 day grace period for the payment to be processed and after that grace period, a late fee is assessed. If you pay via check, we strongly recommend you place the check in the mail by the end of the week. Next week is a holiday week, so we want to help make sure people avoid a fee because of delays due to closures at both Alliant and USPS for the fourth of July. Better to send it early.
Thank you for your attention to this matter and have a nice evening.
On behalf of the Board of Directors of Windsor Place
Sincerely,
Dana Schipper, CAM

6.17.25 - BLMA Message - Hi Folks, - Please be careful, there is a bear in our community. I reported the bear to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.

From Florida Fish and Wildlife: Feeding bears or allowing the placement of food accessible by bears is prohibited by law. Bears do not view humans as prey, but can and will learn to associate humans with food if they are continually rewarded with free meals from garbage cans and dumpsters.  A fed bear is a dead bear. Bears that obtain human-sourced food can lose their natural fear of people and potentially become a public safety threat that may require trapping and killing. Relocating the bear is not a permanent solution, as another bear will find unsecured attractants. Secure food sources that attract bears to your yard in locked, enclosed areas, such as a garage or shed. If you do not have a garage or shed, consider:
  • Build a trash caddy (3 designs available) – slated, enclosed, and general) for your cans for storage until the morning of pick-up,
  • Create an electric fence perimeter
  • Make an electric unwelcome mat
  • Add a retrofit kit to your cans if permissible by the waste hauler
  • Purchase a bear-resistant container that your county waste hauler can service
Not sure what is attracting bears? Take the quiz.
Pets: It is possible to live in bear country safely with your dogs and cats without experiencing a negative encounter. Bears are typically not interested in pets as prey. However, most pet-bear encounters occur when pets defend their owners, pets are left unattended in a fenced yard, or pets are free-roaming. If pets give chase to bears, bears will defend themselves and their young. Follow the tips in this video or the “Protect your Pets from Bears and Coyotes” brochure link.
Bear behavior and hazing bears: Bears generally avoid people and can be scared off by using sudden loud noises. This video focuses on bear behavior helping you assess how to safely react to a bear based on the behavior displayed. This video discusses how to safely haze a bear without putting yourself or the bear at risk. Check out the video demonstration link on the use and effectiveness of bear spray.
Property damage: Fence damage due to bears is common in communities where bears are accessing food sources. If bears are unable to see the food source or need to use your yard as a shortcut, they may damage your fence. Inspect your yard for attractants and expect the bear to return if it was rewarded with food. Motion-activated alarms or motion-activated water sprinklers can also be useful in deterring bears. In some cases, electric fencing can be used to prevent bears from climbing and damaging privacy fences.
POOL USE:
For all pool users: If you open an umbrella, please close it and tie it shut before leaving. It’s very important that the umbrellas are tied to prevent the wind from breaking them and hurting someone. Thank you.
SAVE THE DATE: We will be hosting an informational session at the Clubhouse on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. for anyone interested in learning about Florida-Friendly Landscaping. Learn how you can save money while saving our environment. The application of Florida-Friendly principles is a simple, common-sense approach to a beautiful, functional, and sustainable landscape. This state-wide approach to a lush and healthy garden is fine-tuned to our unique climate here in SW Florida. Wise use of water, fertilizer, pest control, and proper pruning will be covered.
If you are interested in this, please send an RSVP by signing the RSVP list in our office or calling the office and asking Susan to add your name to it.  We need a headcount to ensure the correct number of packets.
Warm regards,

Nancy J Perry, President BLMA

6.13.25 - Message - Hello Windsor residents - The bulk of the pool refurbishment project is complete - there are a few detail items remaining.  -  Prior to the start of the project,  the Board had received several complaints from residents who were stuck inside the pool enclosure because they could not get the gate to unlock. We took the pool's closure as an opportunity to rectify the situation. We had the gates reversed so now they open outward over the sidewalk. The fact that they swung into the pool enclosure was pointed out to us by our pool vendor as against code and he recommended we reverse them. We had a pull lock installed so to unlock the gate, there is a knob at the top of the black arm extending up from the gate. If you pull up on the knob and then pull the gate toward you, the gate will open. There is still a deadbolt  there, but only the Board has keys to that in the event the pool needs to be secured. Your pool key is no longer necessary. We upgraded the bathroom door handles and locks so now residents will not need a key to access the pool area or the bathrooms. The Board also holds keys to the bathrooms so they can be deadbolted if necessary. If you have further questions about the pool refurbishment or the change on the locks, you can reply to this message at [email protected]
Have a nice weekend.
Sincerely,
Dana Schipper, CAM

6.11.25  -  Message - Windsor Place Pool Closure - 6/11 - Hello Windsor owners - In the last hour, the Windsor Place pool has been closed for use. This is not related to the refurbishment as that was signed off on by the County when it was completed. This is from the Department of Health which does the regular inspections. I have spoken with the Board and as well as the maintenance supervisor at the pool company. Neither Alliant nor the pool company has received a call or the inspection report yet so we are not entirely sure of the reason for the closure. The supervisor is working on calling the offices of the inspector and he will also be sending a technician to Windsor to check into it and to see about correcting whatever issues. I will be updating the Board as I receive information. As soon as we have rectified the issues and the pool has been reopened I will let the community know. The master association pool is available for use until we can get this solve. Apologies for the inconvenience, I am working diligently with Nassau Pools to resolve whatever issue has arisen.
